All I want for Christmas

Dearest readers,

It's been some time since I did a proper post. I think I'm just having difficulty finding the words.  My best friend and creative cohort, Amber, has finally been diagnosed with a rare cancer called pseudomyxoma peritonei.   She will have to seek treatment on the west coast, as there is only one specialist that knows how to treat it on this side of  the United States.  She has amazed me with her strength and assertiveness during her long journey towards a diagnosis.  This experience reminds me that medicine is an art.  We need to be in tune with our bodies and when a doctor tells you "We'll wait and see" but your gut tells you something else,  ALWAYS follow your gut.  We will continue to produce the most amazing framing we can muster
and we'll keep you updated on our life's journey.

So, as you can see,  I didn't get what I wanted for Christmas.  I remain very, very, hopeful that Santa will see fit to bring it in the new year.

Thank you all for your endless love and support.
Jill

I've pulled some photos out of the "hasn't been posted" file to show off this week. (Which is soon to be renamed the "just can't remember if I posted it" file.) Enjoy.

As always your framing is beautiful and perfect for the piece.

Amber rare cancer is awful as it seems to present additional challenges for treatment. I continue to pray for quick and complete healing.

I am very sorry to hear about Amber, let's all hope that she gets the treatment she needs and makes a full recovery. I think we may have already seen some of the pictures but it is always a pleasure to see such wonderful framing that I could look at them every day and not get bored. Happy Christmas from Ireland.

So sorry to hear of Amber's health challenge and the added stress of needing to leave home to get treatment. Hoping the new year brings her renewed health. If the west coast location is near San Jose, let me know if I can be of help.
As always, your work is stunning. The fence post snowmen make me laugh.
Best wishes and blessings...Kathy

I am praying for Amber...please let her know that there is support and information available. I was diagnosed with appendix cancer in 2012....I was very lucky in that while mine was high-grade signet ring, it had not escaped the appendix - I went through 2 surgeries and 6 months of chemo. I belong to 2 PMP Appendix cancer support groups and 1 for signet ring cell type on Facebook. Information is critical in fighting this cancer - it is critical that she is treated by an appendix cancer specialist - many of the members of our group have undergone HIPEC (an internal heated chemotherapy surgery along with debulking of organs and removal of the jelly-like substance). If Amber has any questions or is interested in joining a closed support group - please e-mail me and I will send her the links to the groups. We have many long-time survivors in the group - some active members are doing well 5, 8, 10 years from diagnosis. I am doing well, currently NED from appendix cancer - I am back to stitching now and I have a normal life even with a new breast cancer diagnosis earlier this year (I received an all clear from the breast cancer this fall after another major surgery). Oh boy! That doesn't sound any good! I hope A gets a good doctor and even she may have a rough path ahead of her, I hope she will make it. All the best to you and A.
