The face of an angel

Now that I've properly horrified all of you with my previous blog post, I think it's time to offer a little balance
and share some delights.

I want to thank you all for your prayers, e-mails, and positive mojo.  I've been a slug about answering the e-mail, but just know that they have helped lift me up when I didn't think I could manage one more minute.  (Those of you who know me well are laughing at my "stress skills" or lack thereof.  You all know how heavily I lean on the people who are there to support me through the tough times.)

Let me start with an update on my DH.  We had an appointment with the surgeon today.  He seemed pleased and proud of how well my hubby is healing.  He'll be out of work for another month, but we're all
happy with the prognosis.

This week, my whole family was here to celebrate our parents' 60th anniversary.  I can only hope that their good example will guide me and my siblings through our own long and happy marriages. (I got a late start, but I could conceivably make a 50th anyway!)
At the party, I had my first cup of Greek coffee, (yum) and when I was finished, the proprietor read the coffee grounds.  I'm not sure how of the number 12 will be significant to me, but after seeing it on the lip of my cup I'm certain it will be! (and I just now noticed the 6 at the bottom of the cup.  I'll have to be aware of 6's as well.)

To my delight, she also pointed out three animals (she thought they were monkeys) that were very important to me.  I think we all know which monkeys she was referring to!

While my sister was here with her kids (so grown up all ready!) we took a little time to take Senior photos of my niece.  Isn't she gorgeous?  Such an easy photo shoot with a model like that!

And, here's my own angel, Eddie, posing for a portrait of his own.

Although we are just not up to speed at the studio (as I find that I just want to spend all my time squeezing my husband) we managed to get some great pieces completed and shipped this week.
I'm hoping things will continue to improve and we'll be back to full speed in no time.
Hugs to all of you,
Jill

Congratulations to your great parents too!! That is quite an accomplishment.

And of course, your framing is amazing. Each piece you do is simply over the top beautiful.

You need to take care of yourself first, Jill.....well, maybe your hubby first and you next! We'll all be patient and send good thoughts and prayers for some calm in your life!

I like the pink house with flowers. You can frame so well!
I am glad the dogs are OK and that your DH is getting better. One day at a time and all goes well.
