Midge and Gidget have a new baby brother. His name is Eddie Travis Dodd.
You see, last summer, Terry and I became acquainted with the nicest couple, Kathy and JR, from Paducah Kentucky who breed and raise Yorkshire terriers and fancy hairless cats. (I've added a link to Amoire kennel if you want to look at their webpage.) Well, we just fell in love with Mercy their momma dog. She reminded us both so much of our Midge that we jumped in with both feet. My Husband went and got him on Saturday and we've been working on making him a welcomed part of the family for the last few days.
The transition has been a little more difficult than I had anticipated. Midge and Gidget were excited to meet him, but none too pleased with him once they realized that he was staying. The first few days were kind of
rocky, but today was a little better. I'm hoping that before too long I'll look over and see them all curled together in a furry ball.
In the meantime, I've been trying to get caught up with the work that I let slide during Christmas, but with the little day to day stresses, (good - new puppy, and bad - equipment failures) I'm struggling. Once I make it through January, I'm hopeful that we'll be once again a productive happy little workshop.
The furbabies are all napping now, so I'm going to go back to building frames and cutting mats. I just wanted to share our blessed event before I burst. Of course I'm going to keep you all updated on how he fits in to our little framing family.
Thank you Kathy and Jr. for our precious new furbaby.
