So this is what the end of the world looks like

One of my favorite projects this year was an impromptu mask decorating party.  My Courtney was invited to a "world's end" masquerade ball only realized at the last minute that the masks she and her Mom had planned on wearing didn't match their dresses.  Here's what we came up with with a little
help from Michaels.  And, may I just say...Glitter glue is my new favorite toy!

As a side note, can I just say that I'm finding the end of the world a little disappointing!

Here is an actual mask from Venice that we used for inspiration.  When Courtney brought it in, she was just going to have me paint it silver, but I just couldn't do it.  Instead, I had her make a run to Michaels.

This mask began as a white silk form and this is what became of it.

And here is the mask that Courtney made a few years ago which we bejeweled for her special night.

Beautiful, all of them. I love the feathers. They're gorgeous!! I wish I was creative like that. (Also finding myself very disappointed in the end of the world. No flash and bang at all, lol.) Here's wishing you and yours a very Happy Christmas Jill. And a wonderful new year!

Had to drool over all of the masks! I absolutely love anything related to masks and would love to do bejeweling and decorating on them. Your artistry is amazing!
