Cut from the same cloth.

Have you ever met someone that you immediately felt was a kindred spirit?  I had that experience last week.
I met the nicest lady.  Of course she's an avid cross-stitcher and it turns out she's a talented designer who lives right here in Ogden. Her name is Kathy and she designs by the name of Lisa.  Here's her website http://www.xstitchdesignsbylisa.com.  After all these years you'd think that I wouldn't be surprised to feel an affinity for a creative needleworker.  It makes me wonder, am I naturally drawn to ladies and gentlemen who cross stitch? Or, did I just get lucky to fall into this line of work?  Well, I don't care how it happened, I'm just glad it did.  I feel blessed every day to be in the presence of such an amazing group of people.  Thank you all for making every minute I spend working feel like I'm just spending the day with family.

My progress has been dramatically slowed for the time being.  With two of my employees going back to college, I find myself a little short handed and working out the bugs in the schedules.  Bear with me while I figure it out and once again become productive.

Now that we have snow, I'm spending lots of time washing snowballs out of yorkie fur.  I don't mind the light powdery stuff, but we're having that wet stuff that makes the girls look like tiny little snowballs.  I'm once again yearning for spring. Sigh.

Here are some of our latest creations.
Enjoy,
Jill

I'll come work for you! You'll just have to pay my air fare LOL.
Thanks for the link to Lisa's site, I've "liked" her FB page too.
I love the TW piece, it was one of the first charts I ever saw of her's.

Kathys work is great. Artistic people are fascinating to me too.

I just love how the "bits" that you add by virtual of the mats, paint and frames really sets off an otherwise "nice" but not necessarily spectacular piece. It is amazing!

I have worked pieces that I would not have selected normally after seeing your work.

Now if I can only manage to decide what to send to you to have magically transformed into a real piece of art!

I'm currently working on the Living with Charm design by Lizzie Kate and I love the way you've framed it. It is my cross stitching dream to have a piece framed by you!
